Geomattric is bold, colourful wall art from UK artist Matt Riceman and his wife Jen. It began with Handspun: hundreds of concentric rings drawn and spun by hand, producing circular geometric prints that look like a record spinning on the deck. Since then the collection has grown in two directions. Matt’s photography, digitally reworked until the subject becomes pure colour and shape, gives you hard-edge colour-block canvases (Angles for Angels), off-centre circle art (Handspun Skew and Squares), high-voltage botanical prints (Flora), abstracts (Abstrakt) and the early compass-drawn pieces (Compass). And Jen’s hand-painted naive folk art brings a completely different, joyful energy.
